Rail-Mounted Trolleys and Hydraulic Jacks for Paresa Srl
The collaboration originated within the framework of a project involving the construction of a pipeline designed to transport water from Mont Blanc to the La Coche Hydroelectric Power Plant. This was a project of high technical and logistical complexity, developed through close cooperation between teams with complementary expertise and a strong focus on results.
Paresa Srl represents a center of excellence in the infrastructure and high-complexity works sector, with extensive experience in the design and construction of pipelines and transport systems in technically challenging environments. Its deep operational know-how and quality-driven approach make it a standout company, capable of managing complex projects with expertise and strategic vision.
Paresa turned to us for the design and construction of the equipment required for handling and assembling the pipeline, with a particular focus on a system dedicated to ensuring operator safety in extremely demanding working conditions. At the core of the solution is a rail-mounted trolley system designed to transport and manage pipes with diameters of up to 3 meters, lengths ranging from 3 to 9 meters, and a maximum weight of up to 38 tons.

Design for Critical Environments
The operating environment, characterized by tunnels with limited space, curves, and gradients of up to 13%, required the development of a highly adaptive system. The trolley was designed to automatically adapt both to the varying geometry of the pipes and to the route conditions, ensuring stability and operational continuity even in the most critical situations.
The structure was optimized through advanced simulations and structural calculations, with the aim of ensuring resistance to stresses generated both by the transported load and by the track conditions. Supporting the handling system, a hydraulic power unit was integrated to manage traction, braking, and lifting in a coordinated and efficient manner.
Precision and Safety in Assembly Operations
For the positioning and welding phases, telescopic hydraulic jack systems were developed to lift and align the pipes with millimetric precision, facilitating coupling with already installed sections.
Operator safety was a top priority throughout all design phases. The system was equipped with an automatic hydraulic braking system and an anti-slip device, both essential for safe operations even on steep gradients and with heavy loads. These solutions significantly reduce operational risks, particularly in confined environments such as tunnels.
A Successful Collaboration
The project represents a concrete example of effective collaboration between complementary skill sets, where engineering expertise, field experience, and a strong focus on safety come together in a reliable, efficient, and replicable solution. The synergy with Paresa Srl made it possible to successfully tackle a complex challenge, transforming it into a solid and long-lasting result.
